There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is not legal. Eight gambling halls are established in a generally tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering locations in Asia. The initial Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked boat gambling hall, contains 150 slots and sixty gaming tables. One more of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel complex that features numerous luxuries on top of the casino, which provides 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and 88 table games.
