If you enjoy a drink every once in a while, keep your money out of the casino if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Clean out your handbag, your money belt, and leave all cash, plastic credit and checkbooks back at the hotel. Grab only the money you intend to spend on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you expect to throw away and keep the rest behind.
Cynical? Absolutely not. Realistic more like. You could have a profit following a drunken evening out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to catch a 25 minute toss at a hot craps game. Keep that story because it is as short-lived as it gets if you always consume alcohol and wager. The two just do not mix.
Keeping your moolah back at the hotel is a tiny bit dramatic, but preventative measures for dramatic behavior is required. If you wager to succeed, then don’t drink and gamble. If you are able to afford to blow your money nary a worry, then drink all the free alcohol you are able to handle, but don’t pack charge cards and checks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your hooched up brain squanders everything!
Allow me to take this one step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then jump online to gamble in your preferred online casino either. I enjoy a beverage from the coziness of my abode, but seeing that I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards in close proximity, I can’t drink and wager.
What’s the reason? Although I don’t consume alcohol to excess, when I drink, it’s certainly adequate to befuddle my better judgment. I bet, so I do not drink when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, don’t gamble when you do. When mixed, both create a ferocious, and expensive, drink.
